In 1989, my amazing mom—“The Meema,” and queen of dodging cameras—bought a 118-acre dairy farm in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. She poured her heart into that land, working tirelessly from sunup to sundown to provide for her family. Years later, I returned to my roots to transform the farm into something new. One evening at our kitchen table, my then-five-year-old declared she wanted to “cover Vermont in flowers” (she once mixed up Meema’s house for the entire state!). That sweet moment sparked the idea for Burdock Acres.

Today, what was once a dairy farm has become a year-round cut-flower farm with a seasonal nursery—a place where you can wander tulip rows in spring, stroll through towering sunflowers in summer, pick your own blooms, or bring seasonal décor and Vermont-grown bouquets home. We also create arrangements for weddings, business meetings, and community events, bringing Burdock Acres blooms beyond the farm to make your special moments unforgettable.

And the story isn’t finished: each season brings new plant varieties, more you-pick opportunities, and exciting greenhouse projects on the horizon. Burdock Acres is about honoring family legacy, celebrating community, and sharing the simple joy of flowers.
